Privacy Policy

In short

This policy explains what Minty collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

What you give us:

  • your email address, and your name if you sign in with a service that shares it
  • your profile: first name, home country and currency, the countries you are moving to or earning in, your date of birth, how your money comes in, and what you want to learn about
  • the questions you ask Minty AI and the questions you post to Community
  • what you save, and the steps you tick on a guide

What we record as you use Minty:

  • the pages, products and lessons you open, and what you search for
  • the lessons and quizzes you finish, and your streak
  • the devices you switch alerts on for

If you are not signed in, we count your visit but do not follow you. Minty sets no tracking cookie.

Minty never asks for a password, PIN, OTP, card number or account number. If you type a long number, Minty removes it before anything is saved.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • run Minty and your account
  • personalise your answers, lessons and recommendations
  • improve Minty and Minty AI, and develop new products and features
  • understand what people need, through research and analytics
  • keep Minty safe, prevent fraud and meet our legal duties
  • tell you about Minty and related products, where you have agreed

Authorised staff and trusted service providers may access your information for these purposes, under confidentiality.

We may create and share statistics and insights that do not identify you.

We do not sell your personal information.

The service providers we use

Minty runs on services from other companies. They handle your information only to do that job for us:

  • hosting, where Minty and its database run
  • email delivery, for sign-in codes and receipts
  • an AI model provider, which writes Minty AI's answers. Your question is sent to it with account and card numbers already removed.
  • the push services run by browser and phone makers, which deliver alerts to a device you switched them on for

When you follow a link from Minty to a bank, an app or another product, that site's own privacy policy applies there.

Cookies

Minty uses cookies only to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers one setting for you: whether celebration sounds are off. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, saved items, questions, answers and activity are deleted with it. Encrypted backups can hold a copy for up to 45 days before they are replaced.

Your choices

  • See and change your details on your profile.
  • Download a copy of everything Minty holds about you, from your profile.
  • Delete your account and your data, from your profile.
  • Switch alerts off on any device, from Saved.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you more rights, such as asking what we hold about you or objecting to a use of it. Write to us and we will help.

Age

Minty is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in Minty before the change takes effect.
