How we rate products
Where the figures come from
- Official public data first: what regulators and central banks publish, and what banks are required to publish about their own accounts.
- Then the provider's own published rates and fees.
- Every product page links to its source, so you can check it yourself.
How fresh they are
- Every product shows when we last checked it, or which official dataset it came from.
- If we have not checked a product in 60 days, we say so and hide its figures until we have.
- Rates and fees change. Always confirm with the provider before you apply.
How lists are ordered
- A plain list in a category is in a simple order, such as highest rate first or A to Z. It says which. That order is not a ranking.
- A best-for list is ranked, and says what it is ranked on, for example yield, fees and access.
- Pros and cons are written in plain words, and the weaknesses are not left out.
What payment can never change
Paid partners never change a rank.
A link Minty may be paid for is always labelled: Referral link. Minty may earn a fee. See How Minty makes money.
